May, 07 2012

Hamilton Relay, Telecommunications Relay and Captioned Telephone Service provider for the state of California, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Nicholas Barnett, a student of Mission Hills High School from San Marcos, Calif.

The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is available to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.

"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said California Outreach Coordinator, Paul Stuessy. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Nicholas's education and wish him success in reaching his personal and professional goals."

Nicholas Barnett was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Nicholas plans to attend Azusa Pacific University this Fall to study Commercial Music.
