Hamilton Relay is pleased to recognize Mary Norris as the 2010 Deaf Community Leader for the State of Georgia.

The achievements and contributions of Mary Norris over the years have been extraordinary. She is a dedicated and dependable individual who has a strong voice within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Communities, and the breadth of her experience has expanded across a multitude of organizations, programs and events.

Mary served as a strong advocate for the rights of deaf individuals and volunteers in several organizations, including Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired (GACHI), Georgia School for the Deaf Alumni Association where she served as trustee, and Middle Georgia Chapter of Georgia Association for the Deaf (GAD).

Currently, Mary is a supporter of Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired, Inc. and provides support to local senior citizens who are deaf.

Mary has been described as loving, supportive, loyal and faithful in serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, family and friends.

We are pleased to recognize Mary's leadership and positive efforts in serving others in the State of Georgia.
